Last weekend the OBE Forum was the target of a disruptive spam campaign. Because of this we were forced to clean the Forum completely and repost it. You are invited to again to share your OBE related experiences. The spam problem is an ongoing issue in all public Forums and is difficult to resolve.

Today many are talking about the effectiveness of embracing the now as the key to awareness and self-realization. The concept is simple yet profound. The present moment is the only valid point of personal power and transformation. The past is gone and the future is an unrealized dream. In a very real sense this present moment is a portal to higher consciousness and self-awareness.
The vast majority of humanity remains unaware of their true self because they have become immersed within the ego mind and labyrinth of time. Their mind’s attention and awareness is uncontrollable and repeatedly focused upon past events and future plans. Like a recording gone wild, they follow the incessant rambling and dictates of the mind. They have forgotten that the mind is only a tool of consciousness and not consciousness itself. As a result, they have relinquished all control to the ego mind and they don’t even know it. Most people are unaware of their dangerous predicament. The end result is a life filled with drama, failed relationships, family conflicts, financial issues, health problems and an endless list of personal challenges that keep your attention focused on the façade of matter. The ego mind stays active and firmly in control by perpetuating your personal dramas.
An important question is raised, how do I effectively access the now? How do I stay present while immersed in an ocean of mental motion? Many suggest fighting the mind’s control. Training your mind to cooperate with your intentions. Some practice meditation, yoga, breathe work and countless other approaches. Others go from book to book seeking the critical revelation that will make their life easier or more fulfilled. They continuously seek the answers to self-awareness outside of themselves. Is it possible that something is missing; some insight or direct approach is overlooked or assumed to be too radical?
During this recent resurgence of interest in the power of now, an important revelation continues to be overlooked. Time does not exist beyond the body. An out-of-body experience by its very nature is a powerful and proven opening into the Now. OBEs provide a highly effective method to experience the full glory of the present beyond time and space. For now on during your out-of-body experiences, lucid dreams, trance states or for that matter any moment of the day you desire simply demand your full awareness to be present. Be open to embrace the unlimited potential of your true self. Allow yourself to completely let go of the constant rambling, drama and limits of the ego mind. Be bold and enjoy the calmness of the present.
In The Secret of the Soul, chapter nine, I explore this subject in much greater depth. Out of-body exploration is not escapism as some suggest but a powerful opportunity to reconnect and experience your true self beyond the restrictions the ego mind and the limits of time. Like meditation, the experience is what you make it. This is why I emphasize the importance of directing your inner experiences as much as possible. This is also why I repeatedly stress the focusing techniques of “awareness now and clarity now”. Don’t be afraid to demand awareness, to expect self-realization and even God realization. After all, you may just allow yourself to experience it now.
